Our People

Gary Hymer

After graduating from General Motors Automotive Service Program with his AA from Arapahoe Community College, Gary spent the early years working in a dealership and fixing cars in his home shop. Since 1988, his passion for anything mechanical and automotive related has only grown. After moving to Wenatchee from Colorado and working in a dealership for several years, he decided to open up High Tech. He wanted to offer a more personal customer service and wanted more contact with helping people with their automotive needs. Gary knows the automotive field and his passion for helping people made the opening of his own shop just the challenge he was looking for.

High Tech opened in 2004 and has been growing since. Gary says the hardest part of owning your own shop, is finding the right people to take care of the customers. But Gary has found a great team and trusts that his customers are in good hands even when he cannot be there. He feels like his customers and employees are an extension of family and wants everyone who walks through the door, both as a customer and as an employee, to feel the energy and enthusiasm.

Gary’s favorite adjectives he refers to when talking about High Tech: integrity, cleanliness, positivity, customer satisfaction, fun, teamwork, accountability…to name a few.

Gary is married with 3 children. He loves to spend time with his family (when they are home!) camping, riding dirt bikes, and watching the youngest play hockey. If you ask his wife, she would say that Gary’s hobbies include anything that involves motors and adrenalin. Which – is true! Gary loves to ride his Harley, ride his street bike, ride his snow bike (his dirt bike turned into a snow mobile), and although he loves to go paddle boarding with his wife, he is still trying to find a way to mount a motor to the back. The only non-motor activity Gary is passionate about is exercising & staying fit and healthy.
